I started with pastels in 2004 at Go Get Your Smock.
I began oils in 2007. My aunt gave me a bunch of her oil paints and I never looked back.
I have read a lot of books and I took a still life painting at The Palette and Chisel. It made me realize that I really prefer landscape paintings.
Artist Statement of Charlene S. Milne
I recently discovered by taking a still life class that I really enjoy landscape painting. I fell in love with landscape paintings due to my interest in science and nature.
One thing, I am sure you don’t know about me at first glance at my painting is that I dive for wood in my hood. I literally dive for wood and paint on the wood that my husband cuts for my liking. I scour trash bins. Many times the piece of wood are placed neatly on the side of the trash. Only once did I dive into a big dumpster to get a big piece of wood.
I hope you also feel that you are doing something good for the environment by purchasing one of my paintings. You are saving 1 or 2 pieces of wood from the landfills.
